Chroma 3210 (Handler)

SLT Handler – R&D development of your devices

Applications

A scalable platform to support the development of your devices

The Chroma 3210 is a single-site handler designed for product development, technical validation, and pre-industrialization phases. Built around the requirements of modern System Level Test (SLT) applications, it enables R&D teams and test centers to quickly qualify new generations of devices before moving into production.

Its compatibility with a wide range of packages—from miniature devices to large advanced packages—makes it particularly well suited to high value-added markets such as artificial intelligence (AI), high-performance computing (HPC), and automotive semiconductors.

Thanks to its modular design and compatibility with Chroma production platforms, the 3210 supports ramp-up to production volumes while limiting requalification efforts. This approach maintains consistency between development phases and future manufacturing lines.

Démonstration / location

A configurable solution tailored to test requirements

One of the key strengths of the Chroma 3210 is its ability to scale with project requirements and the characteristics of the devices to be tested.

Increased test throughput
A dual test-head option enables higher device throughput while limiting floor space, delivering better ROI on test resources.

High-power device handling
For applications requiring significant heat dissipation, Chroma offers several thermal control architectures capable of supporting devices up to 500 W dissipation. This capability is particularly suited to AI processors, HPC accelerators, and advanced power devices.

Advanced thermal testing
Depending on application needs, the system can be equipped with:
a Tri-Temp thermal engine from -40°C to +150°C
an HPPTC solution dedicated to high-dissipation devices
a liquid-immersion test system for the most thermally demanding applications

Protection and contact quality
A dual contact-force option is available for specific applications, including bare die or packages requiring high contact forces. This configuration helps ensure electrical contact quality while protecting the test interfaces.

The Chroma 3210 is therefore an ideal solution for manufacturers and development centers seeking a flexible handler that can support projects from validation through production readiness, while meeting the challenges of next-generation electronic devices.
