Application
The MPI ThermalAir TA-5000 High Capacity Temperature Conditioner System is used for temperature testing, rapid thermal cycling and temperature characterization of components, hybrids, modules, printed circuit boards and other electronic and non-electronic components at precise temperatures from -80°C to +225°C.
The TA-5000's DC-controlled power adjusts almost instantly to your temperature settings and real-time test conditions, providing precise temperature control when you need it while saving energy.

The equipment is available in two configurations :
- Either with an articulated arm, allowing a double-walled glass bell or a hood to be fixed there, and bringing this test zone up to 140 cm of lateral offset in relation to the central axis of the equipment.
- Either with a flexible hose between 60 and 180 cm long, on a 360° reel, allowing connection to a closed clamshell enclosure, or to your own chamber (anechoic, for example).
Temperature regulation
The TA-5000's integrated air drying and filtering system sends clean, dry air (CDA) through its powerful internal cooler/heat exchanger to provide setpoint temperatures.
The user can control the TA-5000's outlet temperature flow rate from 4 to 25 SCFM, with continuous flow over the entire temperature range, 24/7.
The primary temperature control of the TA-5000 is achieved by the temperature thermocouple integrated into the outlet nozzle tip. External thermocouples (type K or T) can also be used.
The MPI ThermalAir system also features multi-channel RTD and diode (resistance temperature detector) inputs for precise temperature control of the heat flow system.
